LITTLE WESTERN

05 - 10 DECEMBER 2023

A mid-career presentation of paintings by London-based artist, Jonathan Parker

Little Western brings together a body of exquisite paintings by celebrated London artist, Jonathan Parker.

Parker’s paintings emphasise the fragility of the environments he portrays. Celebrated for his portraiture and intricate painterly narratives, Parker has been able to invent methodologies within his practice to archive instinctively and excavate layers of personal history.

His unique compositions have been developed to create space for ideas and symbols to coalesce. There is a spiritual dimension within Parker’s work that resonates with art historical processes; figures connect to the sky and thought, while the ground is weighted in memory.
